These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of getmamas.com and any related mobile applications, features and services (the “Platform”), operated by EUSHOP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12290096, whose registered office is at Brookfield Court, Selby Road, Garforth, Leeds, England, LS25 1NB (“GetMamas”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an account, browsing meals, placing an order, or registering as a Seller, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who we are
GetMamas is an online marketplace that connects independent home cooks (“Sellers”) with members of the public who wish to purchase home-cooked meals (“Buyers”).
GetMamas is a technology platform. We do not prepare, cook, package or deliver any food ourselves. Each Seller is an independent trader responsible for their own food business.

2. Eligibility and accounts
2.1 Who can use the Platform
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, place an order, or register as a Seller.
2.2 Account security
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account login details and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
2.3 One account per person
Each person may hold only one Buyer account and one Seller account. Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions, referral rewards or other platform features is prohibited.
3. The role of GetMamas
GetMamas does not prepare, handle, store or deliver any food; guarantee the taste, quality, nutritional content or fitness for purpose of any meal; act as the employer, agent or partner of any Seller; or provide delivery drivers or logistics services (unless a Seller chooses to offer delivery themselves).
Each Seller is solely responsible for the safety, quality, hygiene, packaging, labelling, allergen information and legality of the food they prepare and sell.
4. Sellers
4.1 Eligibility to sell
Before receiving orders, every Seller must complete verification and provide evidence of:
- Registration of your home kitchen as a food business with your local council (Food Safety Act 1990)
- A valid Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification
- Valid public liability insurance, with a minimum recommended cover of £1,000,000
- Accurate, complete written allergen information for every dish (Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 as applied in the UK)
4.2 Verification and the 90-day window
Sellers who have not yet completed full verification may be permitted to create a profile marked “Coming Soon” for up to 90 days from application, during which time they may not receive orders or payments. If full verification is not completed within this period, GetMamas reserves the right to pause or remove the profile without notice.
GetMamas reviews supporting documents but does not independently inspect Sellers' kitchens; approval is not a guarantee or certification of food safety. Sellers remain solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws at all times.
4.3 Seller obligations
- Only sell food prepared in compliance with UK food hygiene and safety law
- Keep council registration, hygiene certificate and insurance valid and up to date
- Provide accurate descriptions, pricing, portion sizes, allergen information and pre-order time windows
- Accept or decline orders within the timeframe specified in the Platform (currently 30 minutes)
- Prepare and package food safely and hygienically, ready for collection or delivery at the agreed time
- Do not communicate with Buyers outside the Platform to circumvent fees, except where reasonably necessary for fulfilment
- Comply with all reasonable instructions issued by GetMamas relating to food safety and platform conduct
4.4 Alcohol policy
Selling alcohol on GetMamas is prohibited. Sellers must not list, sell or supply beer, wine, cider, spirits, liqueurs, cocktails or any other alcoholic drink or standalone alcoholic product through the Platform. Supplying alcohol to the public in the UK requires both a premises licence and a personal licence under the Licensing Act 2003, which home cooks operating from a domestic kitchen cannot obtain.
Food prepared with alcohol as an ingredient (for example, coq au vin or a wine-based sauce) is permitted, but the Seller must clearly mark such dishes as “Contains alcohol” using the disclosure on the product so that Buyers who avoid alcohol for religious, medical or personal reasons can make an informed choice before ordering.
Sellers are solely responsible for compliance with the Licensing Act 2003 and all other applicable UK laws. GetMamas may unpublish products, suspend accounts and cooperate with authorities where a Seller breaches this alcohol policy. This clause is subject to ongoing legal review.
4.4 Commission and payment
GetMamas charges a flat 20% commission on the food subtotal of every completed order. The rate is the same for every Seller — there are no tiers, no volume discounts and no changing rates. Delivery fees are the Seller's own income and are not subject to commission.
Payment is collected at checkout through the Platform. We do not currently store or process card details ourselves. When a payment processor is integrated, we will update this section and list it here. Seller payouts will be processed once a payment provider is integrated.
4.5 Tax and status
Sellers operate as independent, self-employed traders. Sellers are solely responsible for registering with HMRC, declaring income, accounting for income tax and National Insurance contributions, and registering for VAT if their turnover exceeds the threshold (currently £90,000 per year).
4.6 Suspension and removal of Sellers
GetMamas may suspend or remove a Seller's account, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe the Seller has breached these Terms, there is a risk to food safety, a serious complaint has been raised (including any food safety complaint, which results in immediate automatic suspension pending investigation), or compliance documents have expired or are missing.
5. Buyers
5.1 Placing an order
When you place an order you enter into a contract directly with the relevant Seller. GetMamas is not a party to that contract but facilitates it as the Platform operator.
5.2 Pre-order windows, pricing and payment
All orders are pre-orders placed against a Seller's published time window. You choose a ready-time window, a collection or delivery option, and pay the total shown at checkout. All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include any applicable VAT. Delivery fees, where applicable, are set by the Seller and shown separately.
Payment is collected at checkout through the Platform. We do not currently store or process card details ourselves. When a payment processor is integrated, we will update this section and list it here.
5.3 Allergens and dietary requirements
Allergen information is provided by Sellers. GetMamas does not independently verify the contents of any meal. If you have a severe allergy, contact the Seller via the support channels before ordering. GetMamas is not liable for allergic reactions arising from inaccurate Seller information.
5.4 Cancellations, refunds and credit
Orders are auto-confirmed at the moment of placing them, as long as the Seller has capacity. Where a Seller or a GetMamas admin cancels a confirmed order, any credit you used for that order is refunded to your GetMamas credit balance. Other refund requests are reviewed case-by-case. Where a food safety complaint is raised, the Seller is automatically suspended pending investigation and a refund decision is typically communicated within 48 hours. Approved refunds to an external payment method will take 3–5 business days once a payment processor is integrated.
5.5 Handover
When the order is ready, the Seller hands the food to the Buyer or delivery person. Collection or delivery is confirmed by the Seller entering the order number into the Platform. The order number is the handover code.
5.6 Buyer conduct
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by submitting false complaints, attempting to circumvent fees, harassing Sellers, or providing false information.
6. Reviews and content
Buyers who have completed a verified purchase may leave a star rating and written review. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. By submitting content to the Platform, you grant GetMamas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.
7. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the Platform (excluding User Content) belong to EUSHOP LTD or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
8. Liability
8.1 General
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.
8.2 Limitation relating to food
GetMamas is not liable for the quality, safety, fitness for purpose, or accuracy of allergen information of any meal sold by a Seller. Liability rests with the relevant Seller.
8.3 Platform liability
Subject to clause 8.1, GetMamas's total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) £100, or (b) the total fees paid by you to GetMamas in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. GetMamas shall not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss.
8.4 Platform availability
We do not guarantee the Platform will be available at all times or free from errors.
9. Disputes between users
GetMamas provides tools to help resolve disputes between Buyers and Sellers. Where a dispute cannot be resolved, GetMamas may make a final decision regarding refunds at its reasonable discretion.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access immediately if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity. You may close your account at any time.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
